Canoeing at nearby Jenks Lake
Camp Metoche offers exclusive use of thirteen acres along the Santa Ana River in the San Bernardino mountains of southern California.
The river is stocked regularly with Rainbow Trout, and is a fisherman's paradise. Campers often enjoy relaxation around the warmth of a campfire after enjoying a day of exploring nature trails, admiring beautiful scenery, and fishing.
We welcome clubs, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Sierra Club, church retreats, family reunions, and outdoor educational groups. Feel free to create your own program of swimming, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and recreation. To inquire about booking our facility and checking for possible date availability we have a convenient online form. What are you waiting for?
The use of our facilities include a large heated pool (in season), volleyball, basketball courts and ping-pong tables. Our indoor facilities include a large picturesque dining hall with forced air heat, and a cozy fireplace which is delightful after a winter day filled with sledding and snow play. There are twenty-seven cabins clustered around modern restrooms and shower facilities.
Other amenities include an amphitheater suitable for outdoor services, plays, and concerts. Our snack bar is fully stocked for your enjoyment with fountain drinks, candies, nachos, and homemade beef jerky. We also have a separate Chapel/Meeting room, a Cedar Hall meeting room, and a friendly staff to serve your needs.
Our fees vary with group size, season, number of days/nights, and meals. There is an additional charge for certified Lifeguards. Check with our Director for updated costs. When canoeing on Jenks Lake Certified Lifeguards must supervise. A complete fee sheet is available upon request.
